Sho-den translated means 1st Teaching and is related to the physical dimension and activation (Reiju) of 1st level. The use of such incense directs our attention to materiality, form and the symbolic expression of our being in the everyday, thereby stimulating self-awareness on the physical level.
Oku-den translated means 2nd Teaching and is related to the subtle dimension of activation (Reiju) of 2nd level. The use of such incense directs our attention to the subtle dimension, emotions and mental expression of our being in daily life, thereby stimulating self-awareness of our inner microcosm.
Shin pin-den translated means “Mysterious Teaching” and is related to the Divine dimension and activation (Rejiu) of 3rd level (Shihan). The use of such incense directs our attention to the spiritual dimension and to being an integral and active part of a cosmic design.
